Center for Agrarian Reform and Rural Development (CARRD) is a not for profit organization supporting agrarian reform beneficiary cooperatives in the Philippines’ poorest provinces.
We aim to promote farmers’ access to productive resources and enable them to make informed decisions about their livelihoods in a manner that is environment-friendly, nondiscriminatory and sustainable.
We are funded by local and international donors and institutions that support our advocacy.
We believe in people-centred development and a faith that promotes justice, peace and integrity to all people – regardless of age, gender and disability.
“Agrarian reform as a social justice measure is a must if we are to eradicate exploitation, hunger, and poverty in the rural areas. Without agrarian reform genuine development will not take place.”
Ka Oscar Castillo, Former Executive Director, farmer-leader
