Partner with CARRD

In the past three decades, our partners have significantly helped us meet development outcomes for farmers and their organizations. Whether through a grant, partnership or co-management agreement, we work together to achieve our shared goals.

From the farmer-groups that we mobilized to lobby for the swift implementation of Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP), we organized rural cooperatives to meet farmers’ need for support services (capital, inputs, farm equipment and common service facilities, and other forms of technical assistance) upon gaining full access and control over their land. We are continuously providing technical support to our partner-cooperatives as they respond to the needs of their farmer-members. At present, our partner-cooperatives have a combined membership base of more than 1 200 farming households and a loan portfolio of more than PHP 12 million.

Batangas (NAGKASAMA-MPC)

NAGKASAMA-MPC covers the municipalities of Balayan and Tuy in the province of Batangas and provides services to farming and non-farming members of the communities. NAGKASAMA-MPC is our first partner-cooperative that diversified its membership base and offered services to other informal sectors in the communities that it covers. It provides agri-credit production loans, trucking and hauling services for sugarcane farmer-members, and microfinancing support to farming and non-farming members. With technical support from CARRD and the Philippine Partnership for the Development of Human Resources in the Rural Areas (PhilDHRRA) Luzon, NAGKASAMA is incubating a sugarcane vinegar production enterprise.
